This Privacy Policy explains how the "EMI Calculator – Loan Planner" mobile application ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use it.

1. About the App

EMI Calculator – Loan Planner is an informational calculator tool. It helps you estimate loan EMI (Equated Monthly Installment), interest, and repayment schedules, and includes related utilities such as tax calculators, a currency converter, and a cash counter.

The App does not provide, offer, broker, or facilitate any loans, credit, or financial services. We are not a lender or financial institution and are not affiliated with any lender. All calculations and information in the App are estimates for educational purposes only.

2. Information We Collect

The App works without requiring you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.

Data you enter stays on your device. The values you enter (loan amount, interest rate, tenure) and any loan profiles you save are stored only locally on your device. They are not transmitted to or stored on our servers, and they are deleted when you uninstall the App.

Information collected automatically by third-party services. The App displays ads and uses analytics, crash reporting, and notification services from third parties, which may automatically collect:

  • Device information (such as model and operating system version)
  • Advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID)
  • App usage and interaction data
  • Crash logs and diagnostic information
  • Approximate (non-precise) location derived from your IP address, used by ad providers
  • A push notification token, if you allow notifications

3. How Information Is Used

  • To display ads (personalized or non-personalized, depending on your settings and region)
  • To measure ad performance and understand app usage
  • To detect and fix crashes and improve app stability and functionality
  • To send app notifications (which you can turn off at any time)

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:

The currency converter feature fetches exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API (exchangerate-api.com). When rates are refreshed, your IP address is visible to that service as part of the normal internet request. No other personal data is sent.

5. Advertising

The App shows ads through the networks listed above. Ad networks may use your advertising identifier to show personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads or reset your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads on Android). Where required by law (for example, in the EEA and UK), you will be shown a consent message before personalized ads are served.

6. Notifications

The App may ask for permission to send notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings (Settings > Apps > EMI Calculator – Loan Planner > Notifications).

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We do not store your personal data on our servers. Data you save in the App (such as loan profiles) remains on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App. Data collected by third-party services is retained according to their own policies.
